Tree Hugging Yoga

  • W. River Parkway Minneapolis, MN United States (map)

Come join me for some needed Tree Hugging Yoga at Winchell Trail, Minneapolis, MN where there are a group of supportive, loving trees (mostly pine). We will use these trees (spaced at least 6 feet apart) for support in our postures, making more difficult postures accessible to our bodies. See exact location here: https://www.google.com/maps?q=44.9316167,-93.2026203&hl=en-US&gl=us&shorturl=1

During COVID-19, the lack of physical touching between humans has led to isolation and depression for many of us.

Hugging a tree increases levels of the hormone oxytocin which in turn helps us feel more calm and helps us to emotionally bond. Serotonin and dopamine are released, making you feel happier!

Contributions to this class are a suggested $5-$10 and can be in cash for or contributed via Venmo

You can bring a mat AND I’ll have some sanitized mats on a first come, first serve basis. We will be breathing with the tree and grounding our feet into the earth.
